Fun Gifts...

I made these over the weekend. The card is for one of my bestest friends and the mini tin was a hostess gift for another bestest friend of mine whose house we went to on Sunday afternoon with our kids. The pail contains all kinds of cute office clips, pins, ribbons, etc. I had a creative burst and this is what came of it!

I love when that happens!

Happy 40th!

Just a quickie simple card for a dear friend who turned 40 a while back.

She's classic and preppie. This card worked PERFECTLY!

Happy 5th Anniversary!!

So busy! So busy!! Here's a card that I made for my darling friend Jen to give to her hubby for their anniversary...IN SEPTEMBER!!! That's how behind I am on posting!!! YIKES!

The main theme here is the GORGEOUS Bella Rose paper from SU!

Enjoy and I hope that everyone is having a creative November so far!!

Seriously???

How on EARTH did it become October 30th??? It's baffling to me how fast the time flies!!

Anyhoo - I've been a BUSY lady!! I recently signed on and became an Usborne Books at Home independent consultant and it's been keeping me quite busy!! But I'm figuring out how to best manage my time so that I can pack in all the things that I love into one day!! So here I am!!

My brother is heading to a friend's wedding this weekend in AZ and he's asked me to make a card for him. And I'm thrilled that he remembered to because he often doesn't and ends up at some card store picking up some boring mass produced card and then receives a scolding from me for doing so!! HA! So here's what I whipped up for him to bring!

Card Details:

CS: PTI white, SU! Red Riding Hood
DP: Tinkering Ink : Noir Blanc in Lauren Bacall
Ink: SU! Basic Black
Stamps: SU! Warmest Regards
Embellishments: Ribbon: SU! Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, red and gingham ribbons are from either Michael's or ACM, Red silk flowers - came from a gift I received YEARS ago...(this is why I hang onto EVERYTHING!), rhinestone brad - JoAnn Fabrics, LOVE die cut - Cricut - home accents cartridge

KSW 4 Years

I cannot believe that my first baby is going to be 4. Four!!! How did that happen??? I swear it zips by in a blink. I know, I know...some days are definitely seemingly endless but when you look at the time as a whole it's just amazing how fast it goes. I decided to do a very small group this year of 8 little girls including my daughter. The theme is CUPCAKES!! I'm planning DYO cupcake (decorate your own), a cupcake hunt with homemade (by the kids) telescopes, a cupcake craft and we're having the proverbial bouncy house for anyone who cares not to participate in above activities. =) Considering the small number of guests, I have decided to do something a little extra this year for her invites. I pulled out the mailboxes that I hoarded during last Valentine's Day and set to work. We will be hand delivering these with a letter inside to each child with all of the party details.

I can't wait and I hope that early October brings us fantastic weather!! But if not, we'll have the festivities inside!!

I hope that everyone has a great and creative week!! It's so great to be BACK!!

Mailbox* Details:

Cardstock: SU! Old Olive, Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, Only Orange, and PTI Lemon Tart
DP: Stemma - Something Sweet Cupcakes and Doodlebug Design, Inc in Birthday Girl Party Time (thanks Kristyn!!)
Stamps: Doodlebug Design - Doodlebug Birthday, Hey Cupcake (just the cupcake)
Ink: Brilliance in Graphite Black, Pearlescent Lime, Versamark
Embellishments: SU! 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in green apple and orange (both retired), wasabi DS ribbon (retired), regal rose 5/8", yellow and pink polka dot ribbon both from Michael's, velvet flowers (I don't remember which brand they are), clear overhead sheets, Doodlebug glitter, a variety of adhesives, clear embossing powder, heat gun

*Mailboxes are from the $ spot at Target during Valentine's Day

Back to Basics...

A basic masculine card. Seems easy...right? Ya...not so much!! There's so much girly, girly, girl in my stash so putting together a masculine card is sometimes challenging. However...BASIC GREY to my rescue!! This is from their Obscure line and it made the job of pairing basic solids together relatively easy. Chocolate chip, Real Rust, a misc piece of textured green cardstock and PTI vintage cream for the inside and VOILA...a masculine card.

I hope that everyone is having a very creative weekend!

Happy Happy 6th Anniversary!!

I can't believe I forgot to post this!! My darling SIL and her hubby celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary last month. They are a wonderful couple and they are sharing a beautiful life together. They both love to travel and love the outdoors so I was THRILLED to have a use for this map paper that I've had literally FOREVER!! It was waiting for the perfect occasion and this was it!!
