Tiddly Inks Challenge #52 - Darling Diva

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!  I was SO happy to get to my creating desk yesterday!!  It's been a longgggggg weekend.  I won't get into it but I've been caring not only for usual crew =) my two kiddies, fab hubby, one very energetic dog, but also two baby Robins (since last Thursday)!!  Don't ask.  Unfortunately, one of the two passed this morning =(  He was simply too tiny for this world despite all of our efforts.  But it has been busy considering they eat 35-40 meals a day!!  =)  But I'm thrilled to do it as it's a gift from Mother Nature that she has bestowed upon us for the last two years!  Hopefully there will be room at my local (almost an hour away) Wildlife Rescue Center tomorrow so the one remaining Robin can be cared for by professionals, socialized with his own kind and eventually released back into the wild.

And WHOOO boy....I did miss my paper, markers, glitter and embellis!!

So for today's DIVA challenge card I've used Tiddly Inks - Take Me Away.  Even though I LOVE nature and all animals, I'm feeling a bit like "Diva" Fairy Fae right wanting to crawl into a beautiful, claw-footed, bubbly tubby right about now!!  =)

I did Fae's arrangement in all pinks.  I'm so growing to love Monochromatic.  Don't get me wrong...my passion is Mixey Matchy but there is something so calming about Monochromatic.  No matter what the color!

But I digress.  I colored Fae in with my Copic Markers  I glazed and glittered up her bubbles and let her dry overnight.  I then added a bit of pink Smooch paint in Fizzy.

I carefully trimmed her out getting as close to the bubbles on top as possible without popping too many!  ;)
I layered five different pink papers, both designer (MFT, Recollecions and Bazzill) all on top of my 5" squared SU! Shimmery White cardstock cardbase.

The silver glitter paper is self-adhesive foam paper from Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts.  I stitched everything down and then pulled the adhesive paper backing off.  It sticks like crazy which I love!!  And I love the dimension it adds to my main layer!

I added three, self-cut, rolled felt flowers along with a wide, pink, grosgrain bow from PTI.  My sentiment "Rinse, Lather, Repeat" is from MFT.

I so hope you have enjoyed and been inspired by mine as well as my fellow Tiddly Inkers!  They are all quite spectacular!!  Please check out all of today's inspirational pieces and don't forget to leave bits of love!!

I'm super excited to see what you all create for this challenge!  It's such a fun one!!!

May Bombshell Hop!

Greetings All!!   I'm SO excited to be here with you with my fellow amazing Bombshells bring back to you the fabulous monthly hops!!  YAY!  First off, you should be hopping to me from Sugar's Blog.  If not, please start at the beginning HERE.

Today's inspiration came from my fellow amazing teammate Alison - her theme is GOTH up those Bombshells!!  I chose to use my Man's Ruin set.  (love it!)  I stamped her twice on my white cardstock.  I colored one image fully with my Copics.  The second image I colored only her legs in order to 3-D paper piece them at the end.  I glazed up her martini glass and bubbles and set her aside to dry overnight.  As hard as it is to be patient, I find that letting any glaze/glitter etc. dry overnight is the best way to go about it.

I pulled out cardstock and designer papers to go with my black and white, grey, purple and red color palette.  I did a lot of layering and stitching.  I used my nesties to create a popped out tab on the right for my MFT sentiment "Naughty Can Be Nice"  (hehehe).

I've also coordinated the interior to match!

Thank you SO much for hopping with us Bombshell's today!!  I hope you are enjoying yourself and finding lots of inspiration!!  Please continue hopping to Jennie's Blog!!

Don't forget to leave lots of love for everyone along the way!!  It's always so appreciated!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #51 - Manly Men

Morning!  I'm here with you today bringing you my Tiddly Inks - Challenge #51 - Manly Men challenge creation!! I've (for the very first time) used Father Bumble Bear.  SO flippin' cute!!

I've colored him and his adorable cub using my Copic markers.  Seriously, there may be ten layers of color on Father Bear!  LOL!

I grabbed my blue paper scraps and mounted my entire card on SU! Chocolate Chip cardstock.  My embellishments include a stitched, grosgrain bow tied with a buttony bow,  a stacked greeing/sentiment on the bottom right "You're My Hero" from MFT as well as a scrap of regular notebook paper - pleated and distressed and lastly a bit of Kraft Cardstock with the bottom trimmed up with the SU! Notebook paper edge on the bottom.

I do hope you enjoy this week's challenge!!  Come play along with us HERE!!

Smiles and creativity are abound!!  Have a wonderful and inspirational day.

Farm Fresh Challenge - Black and White

Hello All!!  Just popping in with a peaceful and quiet creation today playing along with one of the Farm Fresh Challenges posted here!  I used Yoga Anya as my focal point.  I colored her with my Copic and Prismacolor markers.  I used a tiny bit of white/clear glitter on her ponytail holders (hard to see in the photo).  I layered my favorite Tinkering Ink paper with grey and white cardstock.  I used the patterned paper with my MFT Rolled Daisy Die-namics and a pretty Martha Stewart pearl in the center.  I surrounded it with a circle of bling.  I added a bit of white linen twine, stitched and scalloped and Voila!
My sentiment Namaste means - The Divine In Me Honors The Divine In You.  The stamp is also from MFT.

I hope you have enjoyed and been inspired!!

Fabulous Inky Friday with Tiddly Inks!

Morning All!!  I'm popping in this am bringing you a bit of Fabulous Friday inspiration from Tiddly Inks to start your weekend off!
I'm using one of the newest images - Annie Cheers.  So cute!!  I kept her uniform, socks, pom poms, hair bow all the same color and hues.  I glazed up her shoes and glittered up her pom poms.

I went with a rounded corner theme throughout my card.  To keep balance I added a double row of scallops on the right hand side.  I kept my embellishments VERY simple and flat so that Annie truly had a chance to shine!

I hope you have enjoyed and been inspired!

TGF - Farm Fresh Challenge!! Congrats!

Hello Everyone!!  Popping in today to play along with TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge.  The challenge was to create a Graduation or a Congratulations card.  I don't have anyone in my life graduating but my son's preschool year is almost coming to an end so I've made this to give him on his last day. (well...until he returns next year!) =)

I've used Hello Ian as my focal image today.  Isn't he RIDICULOUSLY adorable??  I've paper pieced his coat and scarf using a color palette of greys and reds.  I pulled black and beige in as well.  His insanely cute cap is stamped onto self-adhesive linen, shaded with my Copics and then trimmed out.  I glazed up his sweet sun flower just a touch in the center.

I used my SU! tab punch to add my sentiment (PTI) 'Celebrate' and I fastened it with a chocolate brown staple.  I used my SU! notebook punch for the bottom edging, linen twine and SU! River Rock stitched ribbon for my embellishments.  And lastly I added a black, rhinestone flourish to my background for some added pop.

I hope you have enjoyed and been inspired!!

May Bombshell Challenge

(click on photo for larger view)
Good Morning my lovely and gorgeous Bombshells!!  I'm here with you today to bring you my interpretation of Miss May's awesome challenge!  Linens and Lace!!  Like my fellow DT member Em, I, too, paper pieced the gorgeous and oh so sexy stiletto along with her top!!  I tried from every angle and every flash maneuver but I could not capture the true navy blue of the linen paper that I've used.  But trust me, the paper on the shoe has a linen texture and is a beautiful dark navy blue.  (LOVE IT!)  The paper is from Bazzill.

My muse for this design comes from an insanely UNCOMFORTABLE pair of heels that I love to wear in the summer.  They're super hot so who cares if they're uncomfortable, right?  ;)  Anyhoo...here's my muse!

(click on photo for larger view)
I first stamped the hottie from the "Girls Ruin" set on my Berol 100lb art paper and then again on my navy blue Bazzill linen cardstock.  I colored her in with my Copics and then paper pieced her shoe and top.  Her top is pieced with a super fun navy and baby blue plaid paper.  Psuedo-farmgirl-esque I think!  I glazed up her sexy thigh-high stockings with Crystal Glaze and set her aside to dry over night.  Yes, the overnight part is painful in terms of waiting but it's worth it to get that super shiny glazed look!!  =)

While she was drying, I worked on my cardbase.  I started with light blue textured cardstock measuring at 5.5X5.5".  I followed with more of the navy cardstock, followed by a muted moss colored, notebook style DP from a DCWV matte stack.  I then used a scrap of neutral cardstock to run my XO stamp across.  I used my dies to cut the beautiful doily banner along the bottom out of light blue cardstock and self-adhesive glitter cardstock.

I came back to my Bombshell in the morning and layered her onto the same plaid paper that her top is pieced out of, backed her with white and then more navy.  I stitched everything together and added a beautiful scalloped lace ribbon and a fun flowery stick pin.  One last touch using the Banner Sayings stamp set (on sale!!!) and VOILA!  "Linen and Lace!"

Thank you to Miss May for this amazing challenge!!

See you soon!!

Crafty Hugs!

MFT - Wednesday Stamp Club - Week Two

Oh my goodness!!  I completely forgot to post this nugget of coolness - skateboarder coolness that is!!  I played along in this week's MFT sketch challenge that you can join in on here!
Isn't it fun??  So many possibilities for that darling banner!!!  As you can see I used the Banner Day Die-namics using 100% wool felt, SU! cardstock, and Designer Paper to construct my 'SUPER' die.  The word 'super' is done using Doodlebug rub-ons.  My main focal image uses the newly released Pure Innocence - Skater Boy.
I paper pieced his helmet, shirt, elbow/knee pads, and skateboard.  I reached for my new SEI paper pack and paired them with reds and mustards.  I stitched and stitched and layered. My sentiment, Happy Birthday Dude, is stamped and circle punched out and popped up on the front.

I can''t wait to see what kind of surprises this week's sketch holds!!
