Hello!! Welcome all to another awesome Thursday!! Today I brought out, Star, one of my original "girls"! Maigan's work has inspired me from the second I started working at QKD!!! It's obvious that Maigan puts such beauty, such originality and such gorgeousness goes into every drawing.
I love Star because she is JUST that...a total STAR!! I've been doing rather large cards for a while now and was craving a mini of sorts. So I started (again...per my New Years "agreement" with myself) with my scrap drawers and bins. Pulling, piecing, finding until I had enough to work with. I started with a small scrap of lime green cardstock. Layered with light blue textured stock followed by a dark raspberry piece of cardstock.
I used a zig zag stitch to hold it all together but NOT before trimming out these large paisleys from a scrap of Basic Grey paper and holding them in place in between the layers!!
I think it makes Star look like an old school Vegas Showgirl!!! With the GIANT feathers and boas, etc!!
Star is colored with my Copics and trimmed out with my tiny scissors and Exacto knife.
Lastly, I ran a raspberry colored satin ribbon around the middle (cutting a slice in the crease for the ribbon to slide through) tied with white linen twine from The Paper Source and a button from my LSS.
I hope you enjoy her as much as I do!!!
Thanks for visiting!!
