It's MFT time!!

Greetings everyone!!  I'm writing in the hopes that everyone is having a beautiful long holiday weekend!  We've been laying pretty low in my house as we're either getting over killer colds and sinus infections or we're teetering on the edge of getting them!  So we've been watching movies, playing games, reading books and doing lots of art projects!  All of this indoor time certainly helps give me time to create on top of creating!  LOL!  So I double dipped a challenge and double created for another MFT challenge!

Right now the MFT Guest Designer Challenge is on - the theme?  Rip and Roll.  When you see my creations you'll see what I mean!  My second creation also pulls in this week's MFT sketch challenge #35.

Here is my first creation for the Rip and Roll Challenge:

I started by choosing my MFT Pure Innocence - Butterfly Kisses set.  I inked her up using black Momento ink and then colored her with Copics.  I paper pieced her jumper with patterned paper and her wings with sparkly, gold velum.

I used the following MFT Die-Namics on this card:

I used papers from SU!, Recollections, Bazzill and a few others that I found in my stash.  I used Ouchless Cardboard from Gauche Alchemy (love this stuff!), some sparkly SU! brads, hand cut felt flowers, a scrap of ribbon that I ripped apart and a swirly paper clip.

My interior uses the same papers and the same stamp set.  The following MFT Die-namics were used here:
In order to roll and have everything stay in place I used a toothpick and rolled my paper around it nice and snuggly.  It works very much like a curling iron.  Once you have the toothpick rolled with the paper, simply slide the toothpick out and the paper will stay rolled!  The rest I simply used my hands and tore, crinkled and crumpled!  So fun and such a great way to relieve stress!  =)

My second creation pulls in this week's sketch:
As I was creating this - pulling all kinds of mixey and matchy papers, I decided that this card would be perfect for my DD's upcoming 7th birthday!  I used lots of her favorite colors combined with an eclectic mix of patterns and papers to pull in her own unique style I knew this card would be perfect for her!  So I've tucked it away quickly so that she doesn't see it!  I've used the same File Tab Die-namic as shown above on the front of my card.  I used many papers - lots of which were laying on my table from previous creations.

I used MFT's Pure Innocence - Fairy Girl for this creation.  I did trim off the ground and her wings so that it blended a bit more easily with my design.
I used the sentiment on the front snugged into my File Tab.

Here is a shot of the interior:
I've used the following MFT Die-namics for the interior:
As you can see, I've hand rolled 7 candles using MFT Baker's Twine for the wicks.  I used the Dizzy Doily cut in craft as the background for the candles and the Notched Tag with a felt heart as an accent.

I hope you've had as crafty a weekend as I have!!

Thanks for popping by!
