Greetings friends!! I hope that everyone had a nice weekend! I found time to play with this week's fabulous MFT sketch and I pulled out an oldie but goodie for the occasion! I've used my WTG - Girl's Rule set. So fabulous and wonderfully easy to paper piece. Here's the sketch:
I'm having a total love affair right now with square cards of all kinds. Do you find that you go in and out of one card shape or another or do you gravitate towards whatever suits your need at the time? I find that I use one for a while and then change and come back to it after a bit. Anyway =) Here's my interpretation of this week's sketch:
I started by stamping the sweet image, minus the frame around her in Momento ink. I then colored her with my Copics and paper pieced her dress and belt using the fabulous Chevron paper from EP - Country Drive collection. I did eliminate the horizontal banner panel from the bottom as I moved my sentiment within the circle.
I am TOTALLY in love with this gorgeous new May Arts chevron ribbon!! (swoon!) I got this particular color, along with blue and a very light yellow all from SSS
. I then purchased it in red and orange from The Ribbon Carousel
I then layered using all the patterned papers from EP, the solids from SU! and the Swiss Dot kraft from Bazzill. I did a bit of stitching and then created a sweet little bow bundle with a fluffy bow, an epoxy sticker from Heidi Grace and some beige baker's twine.
I added a few teeny, tiny white brads in the corners for a bit of finishing touches.
I am so loving my Photo Corner Die-namics
. They are just the perfect something to add when you need that "perfect something"! I pulled them out to help me finish off my interior:
I, once again, used two tiny Heidi Grace epoxy style stickers (they look like brads but they're not!) in the photo corners.
I'm uploading this to the MFT Weekly Stamp Club gallery right here
Thanks so much for popping in!
I LOVE her dress and that ribbon is amazing...not to mention the fabulous colour combo!!!
This is so pretty, love the dp you used with this sketch and the great image.
