Hello Everyone!!
I am posting another challenge card for Tiddly Inks this week. This week's theme is Birthday Card or Invite. Since I needed both, I created both!!
Today we have a party for a sweet little friend of ours, Livy. She is turning six and loves orange and pink! And she's a new friend that we met over the summer so we had many wonderful pool days together. So, of COURSE, I ran right to my TI folder and chose Queen of The Castle as my main focal image.
She was just the image I needed to represent our friend and the wonderful summer we had together!!
I started with a base of PTI Raspberry Fizz. Followed by the back of some fabulous DP (the plain orange), layered by a shimmery and flocked piece of orange and pink flowery DP (I've had it for ages!). My middle layer is light pink glitter paper that I punched out with my large scallop punch and nestled on the right hand side.
After I figured out my papers, I set to coloring Queen of The Castle. I colored her with my Copic and Prismacolor markers. I then carefully trimmed her out.
I used my SU! star punch and my SU! 1" punch to pop out the Swiss Dot stars and the spots and cupcakes. The stars are adhered flat to the card and the other images are popped up on 3-D foam adhesive.
When I was layering my card and adhering all of the layers together I ran some bright orange ribbon through the middle to cover the glitter paper seam and to create a cute bow at the bottom.
As a lasting touch on the front, I added a glittered up, chipboard 'L' for the birthday girl.
Inside, my sentiment reads Birthday Wishes, a sentiment stamp from an SU! Hostess set and I used my papers to compliment and decorate the interior as well.
I hope you enjoy and have been inspired!!
And here's a sneak peek of what we bought the little lady!! hehehehe...
Crafty Hugs!
