Good Tiddly Tuesday Y'all!! Just popping in with another fun challenge this week!!! We are challenging you to create a card that is MONOCHROMATIC!! Meaning you must use all of the same color. You may use different shades, tones and hues but you must stay within one color family!!
I chose brown as my overall color scheme. I colored and paper pieced All My Heart - Lilly Bean . Such a gorgeous image. I had a blast coloring her!!
I started with basic chocolate brown for my 5.5" card base. I then used the same music note DP for the background as I used to paper piece her heart. I grabbed ivory DP that says 'i love you' all over it (scallops) and a scrap of Love, Elsie chocolate brown cupcake paper that I distressed. I stitched them together and added a knot with SU! Early Espresso 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.
I inked up a doily-esque stamp in Tim Holtz distressing ink in Vintage Photo and stamped up a tag to tuck behind my main image for added visual interest. I stitched my main panel after lightly distressing the edges with the same TH ink.
I added a few pearls in the corner for some further dimension and VOILA! My monochromatic card!
