Greetings again Oddies!! Thanks so much for coming by again today!! I'm showing you two more adorable new images that Kristy has just released! Shy Kaylee and Shy Mae! Oh they are just darling!
My first card features Shy Kaylee:
I printed her out on Xpress Blending paper and colored her with my Copics. I wanted her to look like she's wearing a super comfy sweatshirt! So cozy! I used a mix and match of bold colors and patterns to off set her light colored clothing. My sentiment is from Sweet Thinkin' Mae set.
My second creation features Mae:
She is also colored with Copics. I created polka-dots using my Glossy Accents and I then coated them in turquoise glitter and set it aside to dry for a few hours. I grabbed a large chipboard tag and I covered it with Hero Hues Chalk Latte ink. I wanted to keep the card relatively simple as Mae is so sassy in her discoliscious sweater! (wink!) I stamped 'sweetest wishes' from in Versamark ink and coated it with white embossing powder and heat set it. It got a little fussy but I like how it turned out. I added some pretty chocolate, satin ribbon and a few circles of bling to make it all pop.
I hope you are having as much fun with these new fabby girls as I am! Here's where you can oogle some more and grab some in the store!
See you tomorrow with two more cuties!

My Favorite Things - New Product Tour

It's time!! I am sure you are all shop, shop, shopping away!! What a fantastic release it has been!!
So many of the amazing artists on the MFT Design Team are participating in the New Product
Tour tonight that you will surely not want to miss!! Just head on over to the MFT Blog
so you can see all of the beautiful newness in action!!
Tonight, I have a creation to share with you using the oh so sweet Pure Innocence - Indian Girl. She's just fabulous to color and paper piece!
I've once again, pulled an amazing MFT sketch to bring this creation together. I used MFTWSC23. My papers are all MME - Darling Dear collection. As noted before, she is colored with my Copics and paper pieced. Using the sketch made this come together so quickly! As you can see, I used my Oval STAX Die-namics to cut her out and create a double matte. (swoonnnn!)
I kept my interior SO simple. Just a sentiment and a bit of stitching.
Thank you all again for your tremendous support during my time as Guest Designer. Your kind words and thoughtful comments made me smile every day.
I hope you have a blast shopping!! You'll find all the latest stamps and Die-nmaics HERE in the MFT Boutique!

Some Odd Girl - Happy Tia and Furry Friends Mae
Greetings Oddies!! I'm here with you again today to introduce you to two more sweeties that have joined the Some Odd Girl Digi Family! Happy Tia and Furry Friends Mae! Aren't they SWEET!!?!?
My first creation is with Furry Friends Mae. She is simply darling! I've colored her with my Copics and trimmed her out. I used a selection of papers from my ever growing scrap pile, some fun stitching, and a couple MFT Die-namics.
I've been keeping my interiors simple and crisp with lots of room to write a nice note to a friend. Here I've added a leafy flourish from an MFT Die-namics.
My next creation is with Happy Tia. Oh what a darling! She is also colored with my Copics and trimmed out.
I pulled these beautiful papers from my purple scrap drawer and chose a fun and simple layout to best highlight the so sweet Happy Tia.
Yes, another pack of the fabulous resin flowers!! (I truly can't help myself!) HA!
I hope you are loving the new Odd Girl release as much as I am!
See you tomorrow for more cuteness!!

MFT Pre-Release Pep Rally and Die-namics Feature!
Here is what I did before I created the video. I took out an entire sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 shrink plastic and sanded both sides. I then cut my charms using my Sizzix.
I then gathered buttons, rustic twine and ribbon.
Here is a video tutorial showing you how I created the adorable charms.
After all of my charms had been created, I pulled together some rustic twine, buttons, and ribbon. I created a knot on either side of each button to hold it in place, then I would thread four charms in a row, each tied with a knot and then another button. After I finished the initial threading, I went back in and added a few extra charms and buttons tied on with fun ribbon. I've taken quite a few pictures to give you the detail all around this sweet necklace.

Here is a quick picture giving you an idea of the proportions with the shrink plastic.
And when my daughter came home I gave her the necklace that I made for her and she instantly wanted to wear it. And it happened to match perfectly with the shirt she is wearing today.
Oh she just LOVED it!! Which makes this Mama very happy =)
I hope you have enjoyed my Die-namics Feature! I know you will find such inspiration by checking out all of the amazing MFT Designers! You will find a full list right here at Kim's Blog!
See y'all tonight at the party!! Details below!!

Some Odd Girl - Come Visit With Mae
Good morning Oddies!!! So so SO glad you have stopped by this morning!! It's an amazingly fun day (and week) at Some Odd Girl today as we are releasing eight...yes I said 8...new images!! Today, it's all about Mae!! My first creation features Picnic Mae - sooooooo sweet. I printed Mae out and colored her with my Copic, Prismacolor and Pantone markers. I played around a lot with my shading and I feel like I'm sort of getting the hang of it! I used my Colorless Blender to create the polkadots on her shirt. So fun!! I added a double row behind her using my MFT Jumbo Monarch Border Die-namics.
I used papers from my new MME - Miss Caroline - Fiddlesticks line. Soft, pretty and perfect for this image. I used the sentiment 'Dream Big' from the Nouveau Girls set Grow. I embellished it with some resin flowers and a few self adhesive pearls.
I kept my interior very simple yet pretty.
My next creation features Geeky Mae!! Oh I just LOVE her title!! She is beautiful, smart, sassy and geeky all wrapped up into one beautiful package!
Once again, I colored her with my Copics, Prismas and Pantone markers. I paper pieced her fabulous legwarmers! (love love them!!) I used papers from another new MME pack Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing line. I pulled my colors - orange, grey, and blue from the gorgeous selection. I didn't need to use a sentiment as the paper was positioned just perfectly with the sentiment 'Listen To Your Soul'...can't argue with that!!
I embellished with some orange stitching and tiny self adhesive pearls scattered haphazardly about.
Once again, I kept my interior simple:
I added some fabulous felt stars cut using my MFT Star Die-namics with PTI felt. (double swoon!)
I hope you are are as excited about the newest Odd Girl release as I am!! Come on by the store and see what's going on!! Just wait until tomorrow!!
Thanks SO much for coming by!! Your sweet comments make me smile!

MFT Teaser Time! It's Puppy Love!
Happy Monday Friends!!! I know that sometimes the beginning of the week can get off to a slow to start but most certainly not THIS Monday what with all of the UNBELIEVABLE cuteness being shown today!! So many amazing new Pure Innocence sets along with some super fun and fabulous Die-namics! SWOON!
I am a dog person. I've started to enjoy cats these last few years but at heart I'm a dog girl. I've had dogs my entire life and presently our sweet, furry angel Katie brings us so much joy, companionship and love that I had to create this card and dedicate it to her!
Oh how I love her!! I inked her with Momento and colored her in with my Copics. I then paper pieced her jumper, sleeve, puppy and tiny hand to ensure the proper dimension.
I kind of surprised myself with keeping the layout and design very CAS but there was something about it that just made me smile in spite of myself! I kept trying to add bling, brads, ribbon...something!??! But nothing worked so I trusted my creative instinct and let it be!
I used my EP Country Drive paper pack and went fun and bright with my colors. I switched out the white for red thread on my machine to give the edges a little extra pop.
I used my very favorite Bracket Tab Die-namics for the sentiment on the outside of my card. And I used a strip of stars from the Star Border Die-namic to add some fun texture.
For my interior I used the Layered Hearts Die-namics which is where I housed my sentiment and some fun flowery brads.

MFT Teaser Time! Dig Deep...
Greetings MFT Friends and Fans!! So happy to be with you on another wonderful Teaser day!! Today it's all about the fabulous 'a la mode' sweeties!! There are two amazing sets being shown today. I am showing a set called "It's Getting Deep". I have a dear friend who, when times are tough, will use the expression "You have to dig deep" and for me it's about soul searching and finding the courage to deal with whatever may come your way.
Here is my tribute to my darling friend who is always there for me.
I started by inking my sweet ALM in Momento ink and coloring her skin and hair in with my Copics. I then paper pieced her outfit and shovel. I used silver embossing powder to coat the shovel to make it look a bit more realistic. I love how it shines once it's heated and melted! I couldn't quite figure out how I wanted to do the 'dirt' so I ran out to my kiddies sandbox and scooped up a teaspoon of very clean sand. I used my quickie glue pen to hold it in place temporarily and then secured the sand in place with a nice thick coating of Glossy Accents. It looks SO fun!!
I used my new MFT Oval STAX 1 & 2 to cut her out and matte her. I clipped a small piece of the dirt mound off when cutting her out so I simply tucked it back under like a puzzle piece and adhered it with a bit of Glossy Accents.
All papers are MME - Miss Caroline - Dilly Dally 6x6 pack. LOVE!!!
For the interior, I used the recently released Mix and Match Banners set, cutting one of each using the scraps that I had on my table. I stitched the outside edge and stamped my sentiment and outline image in SU! Cherry Cobbler ink.
I do hope you are enjoying these Teaser days as much as I am!! I will see you all again tomorrow for another amazing day of Teasers!!
Many Crafty Hugs!
(and thank you, again, for the amazing words of encouragement you have been leaving me every day!!)

MFT Teaser Time! Click, Click, Click!
Oh do you have ANY idea how hard it was for me to keep my mouth shut about THIS one!?!? (wink!) I am sorry to tell you that really...it's another fantabulous set that you MUST add to your shopping list! I know it's getting long but this is such a FANTASTIC RIDICULOUS AMAZING release that I simply can't help myself do anything but gush on and on about the amazing stamps and dies that are coming out this month! GASP!
So without further ado...may I introduce you to Behind The Camera Stamp and Die-namics set!! YAY!! Oh my goodness...just wait until you see the amazing number of sentiments/words that come with this set...twenty to be exact!! I had to roll this one around in my brain for a while and thought about all of the wonderful things I could do with this set...scrapbook pages, shaped cards, awesome bookmarks, luggage tags, backpack hangers, oh the list is endless! In the end I went with a mini album. I'm sure I'm not the only one but I have a "thing" for the proof sheets that come with your pictures when you order them from a company like Shutterfly, etc. I hate throwing them out so I hang onto them knowing I'll do something with them someday! LOL! (sound familiar!;)
Here is what I came up with and I must say...I'm in LOVE! (grab a cup of something...there are a lot of photos!)
I'm first going to show you the album all assembled (with room to add more pages!!) then I will show you each page:
All tied up with red seam binding
There's something about ribbon tabs that simply make me swoon

Just makes me happy!
You'll notice that some have corrugated cardboard in the center while others have regular flat board. Just adding different textures and dimension.
All fanned out with so many places to go!
And here is the journaling side
Page 1 - Front
Within the set there is a long, solid strip that helps you divide the into camera parts, which I've inked in navy blue, heat embossed with clear powder. I've added three hysterical pictures of my son which I've matted with Kraft cardstock, I've added some fun buttons - one with baker's twine, one with embroidery floss. I ran a large line of stitching over my embossed line and added a sentiment from my 7Gypsies paper pack 'Abundance'.
I went through my stash of paper packs and pulled out all of the text and ledger paper I could find. With them I created jounaling spaces on the back of each tag.
Page 1 - Back
The sentiment "make every click count" is actually two separate sentiments. Click is it's own stamp so it can be moved and substituted throughout different sentiments in the set.
Page 2 - Front
I used the word MOMENT along with the other amazingly versatile sentiments to embellish my second page. I also used a funky charm, some metallic pearls and my Rock Candy Distress Stickles over the blue panel.
Page 2 - Back
The
stamped sentiment above comes with the middle word missing...so it's
"every (blank) is worth remembering" so you can substitute many words
that are within the set (click, moment, smile). But I decided that I
wanted the word 'day' so I used glittery stickers instead.
Page 3 - Front
Again, I've used the word 'smile' which is a sentiment all in of itself and can be used with many other paired sentiments like the one I have here 'picture perfect'. I also used the new to be released and SO fun Photo Corners.
Page 3 - Back
Here I've used the other two dies that come with the camera - one larger lens and a smaller lens. I inked the solid line and stitched over it. I inked my circular sentiment on around the center of the larger lens and nestled a picture of my brother and daughter together. Just too cute!
Page 4 - Back
Page 5 - Front
I did a page specifically for our super fabulous dog Katie. She's just our furry angel. I used a sentiment from the CSS about Pets set along with the solid line. (see how nicely it divides a small space? ;)
Page 6 - Back
I struggle with journaling. So sometimes, if I'm a bit tongue tied I leave it blank and come back to it. That way I have time to gather my thoughts before jotting something down.
Page 6 - Front
Again another sentiment and the photo corner. So cute!!
As you can see at the beginning of the post I used a very large three ring to hold the pages together passing through the viewfinder of the camera. This way I can add a few more pages as time goes on.
Thank you so much for hanging in through this uber long post! I so appreciate all of your support. It makes me smile in every way and give me true inspiration.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
Crafty Hugs!
