With the majority of large scale projects off of my 'to do' list for a while I am glad to have some of my own time to play and make things for my friends!! My darling friend Jen's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks so since I'm a little ahead of the curve I wanted to make her birthday card!! I found this
Reminisce paper a while ago and tucked it away for her. Her style is simple,
preppie and classic. She has a few rooster adornments in her kitchen at home so I know she'll love this!! I paper pierced around the edges and
faux stitched it with my white gel pen. I loved how it
looked but it needed a little zip so I added some Heidi
Swapp bling and that did just the trick!! The rooster paper is double sided with the reverse colors on the opposing side so I just cut out one panel and flipped it around so that it would match my sentiment of "One In A Million". I cut out the sentiment using my
SU! word punch and popped it up on foam adhesive squares.
For the inside, I used a piece of
SU! whisper white and I rubbed the edges of the white with my
SU! Real Red ink pad and then matted it with a scrap piece of Basic Black.
Now..I just have to come up with the perfect gift!!!
I hope that everyone is having a very creative Monday!!
