TAWS post #96 - Holiday Tags

Happy Monday Y'all!  I'm here today with a fun tag to add to some of my holiday gifts!  I made a bunch of these using the awesome Alley Way set called True Colors.  I used a pre-cut manila tag, the kind you buy at your local office supply store.  Using these saves me time when I need to make many of them.  I like the vanilla color that the manila tags lend.
I used my Hero Arts ink in Pale Tomato, Wet Cement and Tide Pool to stamp the large hearts.  I then added the gold hearts with my Delicata gold pigment ink.  I added some red/white bakers twine  as a finishing touch.  I will be writing my To: and From: by hand which is why there is no other sentiment.

I love the hearts in this set so much!  I'd absolutely use this exact tag as wallpaper in my house!!

Thanks for stopping by!

TAWS post #63 - A Little Color

Hi Everyone!  Meredith here bringing you a bright and happy creation today using Penguins on ParadeEveryday's A Holiday and True Colors.  I have watercolored my adorable pumpkin penguin using my Kurtake watercolors.  I added my sentiment to the main panel using Hero Arts black dye ink.  I stitched all of my layers.
I have a total 'thing' for banners these days and I love how they add awesome texture and color and they're super easy to make!  I have dies that cut them but often I'll find that I simply hand cut them as it's faster.  I used a variety of papers from a Studio Calico kit and Basic Grey for these banners.  I added some of these super cute faceted gems for another layer of texture and color!
Thanks for coming by today!!

TAWS post #15 - Love You!

Hi TAWS friends!  Can you tell I'm LOVING this month's release!?  This was for my 8 year old for Valentine's Day.  My creation today uses the ADORABLE little deer from the newly released Stumped set.  My sentiment is from the True Colors set.  I used an older sketch from MFT using a bunch of papers from a variety of Studio Calico kits that I have collected.  I embellished using some amazing wood veneer hearts, some sequins and a tiny scrap of white/gold baker's twine.
I used watercolor paint to color my image.  I have a crazy life and now that we are homeschooling our children I have very, very little time to craft - think 5-10 minutes a day if that.  So my processes regarding creating has changed a lot so now instead of spending 2-3 hours a day crafting I do my best to chip away at pieces of projects where I can.  This is one of the reasons a lot of my images are done in watercolor.  I will stamp a bunch of images in a watercolor pad and then take my watercolors and this brush with me wherever I go.  That way even if I have 5 minutes I can get something productive done!  It works for me where I'm at in my life now.
I hope you enjoy and find some time in your day to get creative!
