Holiday Orders

Tonight I completed a beautiful set of notecards for my SIL to give to her boss. She requested the Au Chocolate paper - which I have 3 unopened packs of still! YAY! And I wanted to keep them clean and elegant. I funked them up a *teeny* bit with mix and match ribbons. Some are SU! and the others are American Crafts. I did a standard card using SU!'s Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. I love double and even triple matted cards. There's something just nice about a card with a little weight to it...know what I mean? I don't like my cards to be flimsy.

The sentiment (per request) is Thank You from the Warmest Regards set. It's a 'go to' for me. I know she's going to love these!!

I hope that everyone is having a creative week!

3 Year Thank Yous!

The party was awesome, the kids were SO well behaved (all of them) and my girl LOVED all of the wonderful gifts that friends and family gave her. I've been working fast and furiously to get these done and out. I HATE having outstanding TY notes to send. It keeps me up at night...seriously. I feel bad until they're done. So...why did I pick such a layered card?? I don't know...I wanted them to be special. And I LOVE how they came out. I cannot take credit for the design in ANY way however. It was one of the projects that we did at the SU! Regionals in Philly last month. I loved it and went right for it when I was trying to figure out what to do for her TY notes. I totally changed the colors tho...I used More Mustard, Purely Pomegranate and Cameo Coral. They're 3 of my favorites and worked well b/c I was going for a 'fallish' look. I really wanted to tie ribbon or twine in the buttons in the middle but I just didn't have the nrg!

Anyway - I'm heading downstairs to chill with my DH on our 11th anniversary eve...and to write out these notes to get them in the mail TOMORROW!

Happy Friday!

Girlie Thank Yous

My darling friend Christina commissioned me to make "girlie thank you notes" for her daughter's upcoming third birthday. La La (as she's come to be called) is beautiful, spunky, sparkling, sweet, kind and above all GIRLIE! But I get a slightly preppie vibe from her as well so I immediately grabbed for the green/pink combo. I was just playing around seeing what comes to me and the pull tag just 'happened'. As you can see in the second picture, the tag pulls completely out and can be used on another gift or as a simple bookmark or in another card. It all just fell into place!

Instructions:
Cardstock: SU! Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink, and Pretty In Pink, EK Success - Stacey Claire Boyd DP in Polly's Playground
Ink: Purely Pomegranate
Stamps: SU! Much Appreciated
Embellishments: Sakura Stardust pen, Marvy Scallop Oval punch, SU! Grosgrain ribbon in Apple (now retired), Prima paper flower from EP, Making Memories flower brad

Robots

My darling friend Nita asked me to make thank you notes for friends of hers who love robots. And I LOVE how they came out! I'll post the recipe for it in a bit. I'm off to put my oldest to bed!

Happy Sunday everyone!

p.s. - this was just the sample and i am aware that there are a couple of small flaws in this one. the production ones will be flawless ;) oh and i'm changing the ribbon from b/w to eggplant to match the card base...but i'm waiting on my eggplant ribbon order from Jo.
