One of this month's Bombshell challenges was of the them "All About Me". Those of you who know me...may laugh....others...would need an explanation. Regardless...Here I am. This picture was taken at my cousin's daughter's Bas Mitzvah in February.
It was such a fun event. And oddly enough at the last minute I had to end up wearing this dress (vintage boutique couture from 1991!!!) because the dress I had planned to wear was too big at the last minute. I know...boo hoo. I'm not complaining...believe me. I look better in this dress now then I did when I was 19!!!
Regardless...the color scheme was super easy because of the gorgeous colors in the dress. I obviously pulled the turquoise and chartreuse and simply ran with it. I trimmed and matted my photo on 3 layers of mixed Designer Paper. I then set that aside and created the border on the right hand side using the shoe, cash, booze, music combo stamp from the Girl's Ruin set.
I then set to work on my stunning Bombshell. I colored her using my Copic markers. I coated the shoe, her hair and bra with my Versamark pen and coated with clear embossing powder and hit it with my heat gun.
I then colored her stockings in with a light champagne color, going over them with clear Sakura sparkly pen to give the illusion of shimmer. I carefully trimmed her out and adhered her with 3-D pop dots.
I used the NO REGRETS sentiment stamped on my all time favorite grungy Basic Grey paper backed with Kraft cut with my SU! 2" scallop punch and also popped up on 3-D foam adhesive.
I ran a strip of black twill tape along the bottom before adhering my sentiment as to pull the entire creation together.
Even though it's vain to love something that's all about you...I love this something that's all about me. LOL!
I hope you enjoy and are inspired to celebrate you!!! Come join us over at the Bombshell forum and play along!!!
