TAWS post #31 - Make A Splash

Hi Friends!  I'm here today with a creation I made using this month's newly released TAWS sets Gill-Friend and Something's Fishy.  I used Something's Fishy for the sentiment and the adorable dolphin from the mini set Gill-Friend.  This set is available for FREE this month with a $40 or more product purchase.

I started by creating a mask for my dolphin.  All this means is that I stamped one dolphin on scrap paper and cut it out.  That is my 'mask'.  I then start my stamping process.  I stamp one dolphin and then cover it with the mask and hold it in place with a little painter's tape underneath the mask and stamp my next one and so on and so forth.  The masking process allows my image to seem as though one is behind or in front of another image.
After I stamped each dolphin in a different color and was happy with their placement (I did this process 4 times before I was happy) I used my water brush to pull in the color from the edges into the center of the dolphin.  Because I was using Distress Inks which blend and move with water this process was quick and seamless.

I added my sentiment, stitching around the perimeter and a few white enamel hearts as extra texture touches.

Thanks so much for coming by today!!
