TAWS post #28 - It's The Little Things...

Hi Friends!!  I'm here today to post a simple but fun "wobbler" card!  I'm using the newly released Phone Home set and a great sentiment set called Words to Live By.  I started with a simple watercolored image that I added some orange accents using my Sakura Gellyroll pen.  I used an older MFT sketch for my layout and added lots of stitching for some extra texture.
I was going to pop my image up using craft foam but then decided to use some recent inspiration that I saw over at Jennifer McGuire's blog to create a simple "action wobbler" card.  I didn't have any of the real action wobblers on hand so I created my own with some simple accordion folding of scrap cardstock and evenly adhered it behind my panel.  I love that this lies flat in the envelope but "pops" up when opened!  It's super cute IRL.
I added some Glossy Accents to the eyeballs but it's hard to capture in the photo.  Thanks so much for coming by today!!

TAWS post #24 - Greetings!!

Greetings TAWS friends!  Meredith here with a bright creation using the newly released set Phone Home!
I grabbed one of my "pre-done" watercolored images and added some mix and match super bright and crazy papers most of which are from Studio Calico.  I used a card sketch from MFT and used my Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics to cut the banner flag at the bottom to hold my greeting.
I added some stitching to most of my layers and a few adhesive backed rhinestones as an added texture touch.

Thanks for popping by today!!

TAWS New Release Blog Hop - April 2015

Hi Friends!!  Happy blog hopping day!!  You should be arriving here from the wonderful Marina's blog!  If not swing back to the beginning and start here!

Today I'm using an adorable sentiment set called Say It Don't Spray It.  The flowers and leaves are little accents that come with the set.  Using water color paper and my Distress Inks in Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn I've created my own background.  I first stamped the background of the flower in Picked Raspberry,  I then used the flower outline in Wild Honey.  I then sprayed it with pearlized water in a mini mister.  I let it dry and then masking my flowers I added the various style of leaves.
I decided to not spray it again as I liked the contrast between the blurry edges of the flowers and the crispness of the leaves.  Once everything was dry I added my sentiment using Versamark Ink and Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  I added some clear, iridescent and some bright green sequins.  I stitched around the edge for some added texture.
Thanks for hopping with us today!  Don't forget that this month's "Free With $40" purchase ($40 in product - tax and shipping do not count) is the ADORABLE set Far Out!

Off you hop to N@Ali's blog!
