On The Twelfth Day Of Christmas The Queen Gave To Me...

Mr. Stalone Under the Tree!!!!?!?!!? =) That's right!!! Mr. Stalone!!! He's one of our new fabulous images in the shoppe!!

This is my 12th and final holiday tag!!! It happens to be in Hanukkah themed colors but it's really a culmination of what my family believes in and that's FAITH. Above anything else...we have faith...and whatever interpretation you take from that is yours.
I used my Cricut to cut out the word Faith as my jumping off point for this final tag. I already had the background paper set and sewn. So I placed the word where I wanted it and adhered it down. I knew I wanted to use Mr. Stalone but also knew that he'd be too big and would cover part of the word or the word would cover part of him.
So...I colored him with my Copics and made his wings sheer and iridescent looking with Icicle Stickles.

I heat set the Stickles so they'd dry faster and I scanned my image in. I then resized it and printed it out. I used a pale green cardstock for his matte and stitched a border with black thread around him. He was now perfect for my tag. I added a little glittery brad beneath him to balance out the beautiful bird flying high above on the left hand upper side of the tag. This bird was also cut out using my Cricut, covered with silver ink, silver embossing powder and heat set. I used a pretty grey seed bead as his eye for some really nice dimension.
(I was thinking that secretly Mr. Stalone is having Faith that he'll get to capture that yummy looking bird!! ;) LOL!!

Anyway - I then doodled with my silver paint pen on the word Faith and added a few random blue self-adhesive rhinestones for some extra pop.

I do so hope you've enjoyed all of my holiday tags!!! I had SO much fun making them and I have to say I don't think I repeated one stamp on any of the tags!! That was my intention...I tried to use a different combo of stamps on each tag with no repeats.

Now I'm going to hang them all together in their proper order as a garland to hang up in my house for the rest of the holiday season!! Once I have that done and up (I need to figure out where to hang it!!) I'll post pictures.

Thanks again for visiting and have a great night!!

Hello Everyone!!

First off, if you came here from Wendy's blog then you are on the right track. If not, you definitely want to start at the Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog so that you don't miss one delicious creation!!

I'm SOOOOOOO excited to be hoppin' tonight!!! We have 2 very special things going on!!

First, Robyn has an entire collection of new December images for sale now at the shoppe!!! Wait until you see!!!

Secondly, we are introducing 6 new team members tonight on this hop!! Please welcome Joy, Michelle, Kym, Karen, Jeanette, and Leanne!!

You will be thrilled beyond belief with what our entire team has come up with in our creations!!! I think you will both inspired and excited at what's to come!!!

Here was the challenge issued to us:

  • any RF image
  • 1 patterned paper
  • 3 colors of cardstock
  • fibers
  • buttons
  • punches or die cuts
I was lucky enough to be able to work with Hector da House Mouse in da Chimney . I've been giggling at him all day because he's just so darn cute!!!
My paper is all Crate Paper. Except for the plain white cardstock that I printed Hector out on. My card base is a chocolate brown, 6 x 6 square card.

My next layer is plain green distressed DP from Crate. It's the back of the striped trees you see at the bottom. I ran my crimson pigment ink pad over it, coated it in clear embossing powder and heat set it. It gave the paper a super cool texture.

I then stitched around the outside with green thread. I used my Cricut to cut the Christmas Tree border and dazzled it up a bit with the opposite side of the paper while the other trees received glittery treatments =)

The button trifecta is, as you know, one of my favorite combos to use. These are all vintage buttons from Nana's sewing basket. I trimmed Hector out for placement before I colored him and added the large, green chiffon bow with the tiny silver cording in the middle to balance the open space out.
I colored Hector with my Copics and the rest of him was just completely glitterfied!!! I LOVE him he's just too stinkin' adorable!! As are ALL the rest of the images that Robyn has newly released!! You MUST run to the shop as everything is on sale!!! 30% off!!!!

Ok now off you go to Leanne's blog!!!

I know she's got something GORGEOUS and SPECTACULAR to show you!!!

On The Eleventh Day Of Christmas The Queen Gave To Me...

A beautiful pixie fairy under the tree!!! I have ALWAYS loved Juniper Shimmer Fairy!!! She's just so sassy and full of 'tude! Attitude that is!!! =)

I pulled this gorgeous red and white paper as the tag's background but when you look at it (not sure if the pic does it justice) it *almost* looks like it's got a pinkish hue to it.

So I stamped Juniper in crimson pigment ink on pink cardstock and heat embossed her. I then trimmed her out and positioned her just slightly off center of the tag nestled nicely on a pop dot.

Where she's pointing is where she creates her HOLIDAY MAGIC DUST! ;) It's glitter but shhhhhh...don't tell ;)
I used my ever favorite Doodlebug Designs rub ons on the perimeter of the tag creating the HOLIDAY MAGIC sentiment.

I added some beautiful PTI swiss dot satin ribbon as the hanger and POOF we have ourselves the 11th tag!!!!

One more to go!!! =)

Thanks for visiting!!!

On The Tenth Day Of Christmas The Queen Gave To Me...

8 Hanukkah presents under the Hanukkah Tree!!!! ;) Hey...work with me here...it's hard to work Hanukkah into 12 days of Christmas!! =)

I am SOOOOOOO excited as I received a HUGE package today from The Queen with all kinds of fabulous goodies!!! In tonight's tag I used the Happy Birthday To You set. I stamped the gifts multiple times in blue pigment ink and heat embossed them. I really LOVE the background paper so I didn't want to fuss it up TOO much so I just doodled a bit on the gifts to add some color. I trimmed them up and added all 8 of them loosely in a circle on pop dots.
The sentiment "eight crazy nights!" was written up in Word and printed out on cardstock. I added some silver elastic cording as the hanger for this tag.
I hope you enjoyed tonight's creation!! Don't forget to shop, shop, shop for all of these fabulous stamps over at the shoppe!!!

On The Ninth Day of Christmas The Queen Gave To Me...

A gorgeous Christmas Mermaid under the tree!!! Let me introduce you (if you don't know her already) to Holly Mermaid!!! Isn't she spectacular???!?!?!?

I've been waiting and waiting to use her for one of my tags!!!
Same as the others I stitched down my tag base - the Designer Paper and then set that aside and colored Holly. I had the BEST time coloring her!! I used my Copics, gel pens and glitter to make her the perfect holiday guest!!! ;)
I didn't want to add TOO much more as the tag was getting busy but I added a cute and matching button trifecta and with my glue pen hand wrote the word "Merry" at the bottom and coated it in really fine gold glitter.
I was trying to use the pink theme a little bit to add a soft twist so I took the pink from the paper I used for Holly and used some PTI pink polka dot ribbon as the hanger for this tag.

I love how it came out!!! Time to start shopping!!! FA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!!!

Thanks for visiting!!

Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday Freebie Image!!

Welcome everyone to another fabulous Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday!!!
Aren't these elves simply to die for??? So sweet and cute!!! I whipped up a little somethin' somethin' different sticking with the "holiday" theme but trying to use more than your basic red and green, etc etc.
I used lots of scraps I had lying around, stitched them together and rounded 2 of the 4 corners. I then colored the elves with my Copics and used SU! silver embossing tinsel for their hat trim and mittens. I also hand drew the lines on the box tops with my glue pen and covered them with the same silver embossing powder and heat set those as well.
Lastly, I added some gorgeous PTI purple, double stitched ribbon to add a little extra zazz! I love how it turned out!!

Go grab the image and definitely get creatin'!!

On the Eight Day Of Christmas The Queen Gave To Me...

Happy Hanukkah a day late!!! (I'm a tad behind with my QKD tag posting!!!) This is a tag that was supposed to be up 2 days ago....so I'll have one for you later that's a Christmas one from yesterday and then one for today so we'll be back on track!!
Again, for the continuity for the Hanukkah theme, I used general blue/silver/white colors. I created a tag thinking of all the lovely Jewish Bubbies hanging out at their local senior center playing Bingo visiting with their friends.

I used the Child's Play Set that has such awesome possibilities and versatility!!!
I adhered my center tag portion, and overlayed some acrylic DP over it. I trimmed the edges and stitched all the way around. Creating a pocket for the Bingo board.

The Bingo card is stamped in SU! Basic Black on textured light blue cardstock. It's image is distressed as are the edges of both the blue and black matte. I added a few rhinestones for some twinkle and tucked it into the acrylic pocket.

I stamped the LIFE'S A GAME PLAY IT sentiment on a DP scrap, punched it out and matted it to ivory cardstock. I stitched those two together and adhered it with a pop dot onto the outside of the acrylic pocket.

I added a little feather stick pin that *kind* of reminded me of a burning Hanukkah candle.

Lastly went the ribbon tucked through and tied up!! And BINGO! My latest Hanukkah tag!

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to check out my fabulous teammates posts as well!!

Tek Tuesday over at The Character Cafe!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Welcome to another super fun Tek Tuesday!!!

Today I will be showing you how to alter all of those really nice store bags that you get when you shop...particularly this time of year.

The bag I started with was a store bag that measured 10 x 10. I found paper that matched the pretty chocolate brown that the bag color that was my base. It's all past season SU! holiday scraps. I then chose my image, Christmas Scamp and he's the CUTEST!!

I measured the DP mattes one inch down for each design.

I matted the images together and sewed 2 of them together using red thread.

I then colored Scamp with my Copics and Sakura gel pens. I used Stickles to glitter-fy his hat trimmings and then sprinkled white velvet flock over that. It's SO cute and 3-D in person!!

I added some embellishments and adhered it all together. I then put a plain piece of cardstock on the back (or you could embellish both sides!!!)
I then used my SU! word punch to punch out the handle on both sides of the bag.

You could tie a ribbon or fibers here for an easy closure or add a small magnetic snap!!

It's SUCH a fabulous way to recycle the bags rather than use them to take your lunch to work in!!! They are better than that!!!

I wanted to share with you my inspiration for this bag. A LONG time ago...my darlingist friend Joanne, who was our SU! demo, taught us how to alter a simple and so affordable paper bag. You could easily do these for goodie bags for a child's party for SO much less than buying the themed ones!!!

But I digress. Joanne showed us how to do this and I was HOOKED!!! I've used it over and over and am surprised that I'm just now showing you this!!
Thank you for the inspiration Jo!!! AS ALWAYS!!!
Thanks for visiting!! And have fun altering!!!

QKD - Royal Sketch Monday!!!

Hello!!!! Welcome to a fabulous Royal Sketch Monday!!!

Above is the sketch that we're working with today!!! Such a fun one!!!

First and foremost! =) If you've arrived here 'just because' I thank you for visiting!!! But you should have arrived here from Penny's blog as we're hoppin' right along!! If you didn't you'll definitely want to start at the beginning of the hop so you don't miss one of our Design Team's fabulous creations!

I wanted to steer away from the holiday cheer for this one as most of what we've all been working on is one kind of holiday project/card or whatnot! =)

I grabbed this delicious leopard print (roar!) paper from my stash knowing exactly which stamps I wanted to use!! The card base is 5"x5"...a standard go-to size for me.

I cut all of the circles for the background using my various SU! punches ranging in size from 1 3/4" all the way down to 3/4". I layered them on the background as close to the sketch as I could ;)

I then used black and brown as the decorative strip on the left, zig zag stitching them together. I used the adorable skull from the Happy Skullz Birthday Set - also quite a go-t0 for me as well as the star from the Party Like A Rockstar Set. Another MUST HAVE!!! Each of these sets are a BARGAIN at $6.99 each!!!

I inked the stars up in SU! Basic Black ink on a variety of scraps that I had in my drawer and then punched them out with the SU! star punch. I adhered them with pop-dots for some great added dimension.

The skull was inked also in the same black and then glittered up with my gold paint pen as well as some blingidy bling bling with gold glitter on the teeth!!

I matted the 'tag' on basic black cardstock and tied it with some polka dotted ribbon and attached it with a pop-dot.

I think it's SUPER cute!!!

I hope you enjoyed my creation!! Now...keep hopping along!!! Let's see what Linda has in store for you today!!!

On The Seventh Day Of Christmas The Queen Gave To Me...

The Doodiliest stamp set in all the land!!!

I have used this set over and over and over. It's fabulous for the holidays but also other occasions as well!!

Today I bring to you a Christmas tag!! As all of the others (for continuity) I have used my Cricut to cut a 5" tag plus insert. The insert is an old school, vintage, colored olive green and ivory gingham DP. I stitched it down with bright red thread. I then added gold gems to the perimeter and used my red sparkly Sakura pen to doodle in between the stones.

I then inked up PEACE from the Doodled Holiday Words set and set to color it with my Sakuras and gold paint pen.

I matted it on a scrap of red cardstock whose edges I lightly distressed and adhered it to the tag with pop dots.

I hope you check out my fellow DT members to see what they've been coming up with!!!
