August Bombshell Sketch Challenge

Greetings Everyone!!  I'm posting today from the gorgeous state of Maine.  My family and I are up here for the weekend enjoying time with family and friends.  It is a wonderful place to be, create and enjoy.  The only trouble is that I can't obviously bring my entire studio up with me.  I bring only the absolute essentials (which for me is a lot! LOL!).

Today's creation is based on this fantastic sketch.  I've used the following delicious Bombshell sets in my creation:

Butterfly Queen
Man's Ruin
Girl's Ruin
Bombshell Angel

I love this company not only because I love the vintage vibe, the gorgeous girls, cars, choppers and tattoo sets but because of the EXTREME versatility of the accessories that come with all of the sets.  I love to mix and match sets to create a one of a kind creation each and every time.

My creation for today is a 6x6" card with a base of SU! Creamy Caramel.  (I *think* that's the color!)  I layered it with taupe, red and blue flowery DP as my main background layer.

I then stamped Butterfly Queen in Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and colored her with my Copics and Sakura gel pens.  I used my corner rounder on all 4 corners and backed it with a medium blue cardstock with the matching corners rounded.

Following the sketch not EXACTLY to a "T" I stamped the Lil' Angel and Lil' Devil images in Momento Ink in Tuxedo Black - also colored with my Copics.  They are layered with the same blue DP (corners rounded by hand - hence the imperfections - I forgot to bring my corner rounder with me!) and chocolate DP.

Before I added my images to my cardbase I added a strip of blue polkadottted DP sitting vertically and taupe grosgrain ribbon laying horizontally (you can see both peeking out from underneath our gorgeous Bombshell).

I then added my Bombshell and her two companions Angel and Devil on the left hand side with 3-D foam adhesive.

My sentiment 'No Regrets' is stamped in the same black Momento ink and colored with my Copics is trimmed out and added below with 3-D foam adhesive.

I sat back and looked at my creation.  I loved it but it seemed to be lacking something on the right hand side....hmmmmmmmm...

Bing!  Here come those accessories to my rescue!  I grabbed my long, acrylic block and added the starburst, broken heart, LP record, ribbon and music notes all in a a line.  I inked them up with Momento Ink and then trimmed them a bit with a clear, sparkly Sakura gel pen.

I had SUCH fun making this!!  I never get tired of those gorgeous Bombshells!!!

Please come and join the forum and play along!!

Thanks for visiting!!
