Tiddly Inks Challenge #29

Good morning everyone!!!  Welcome to this week's TI challenge!!!  This week it's all about making a scene!!!  Yes...you heard me...but in the good way!   LOL!  We want you to work with Autumn Colors and incorporate a Princess or a Prince with a "background" of some kind...a castle, an archway, etc.  Get those fabulous creative juices flowing and show us what you got!!

Here is my creation for this week:

I have used the following TI images:

I printed out both images.  I printed Fiona twice, once on PTI white cardstock and then again on a piece of pinky/orange Basic Grey DP so that I could paper piece her dress.  I trimmed out the dress and adhered it to Fiona.  I then worked on the rest of her coloring her in with my Copics, Prismacolor and Sakura markers.

I added bright orange glitter glue to her belt and hem of her dress and set her aside to dry.

I then colored in and trimmed out the Fairy House.   I then added bits of the same orange glitter glue to the flowers on the house and a tiny drop of Crystal Glaze to the window and I set this piece aside to dry.

My base is SU! More Mustard measuring at 6 x 5.75.  I took a scrap of Kraft and "bound" the fold to make it look like a story book.

My background is also SU! DP stitched around the perimeter with ivory thread.  I then used a scrap of chocolate brown DP in the lower right hand corner as a visual anchor because of it's dark color.

I chose my sentiment from PTI "Live Your Bliss".  It's one of my favorite stamps.  I inked it up with Colorbox "Harbor Blue" ink, stamped it on a blue gingham scrap and heat set it.  I also added flourishes on the corners of this scrap, inked in Pearlescent Poppy and heat set but the are a tad hard to see due to the house and princess.

I then was ready to piece everything together but my princess and house were not dry so I took my heat gun to them to speed up the drying process.

I piled everything onto my card base but there was something missing.  I tried DP, ribbon, embellis...but nothing was jumping out at me.  So I went to my "everything bin".  It's an area on my desk where I keep bits of things like cool looking receipts, tags cut out of clothing, bottlecaps, dry cleaning slips or in this case a left over slip from the tailor!!!

I crumpled it up, took my Tim Holtz Vintage Tea Dye ink to it, added a scrap of sheer, copper colored ribbon to it and VOILA!  that was what was missing!

I added Fiona and the house on 3-D adhesive, anchoring the whole piece with a crystally, heart frog embellishment in the lower right hand corner.
Phew!!  I love this card!  LOL!

I hope you enjoy and have been inspried!!  Please come play along with us at the TI challenge blog!!!
