Guest Designing for Gauche Alchemy!!

Hello Again!!!  I'm SO excited to be here with you today for another week of guest designing with one of my very favorite crafty crews - Gauche Alchemy!!!

Working with a wonderful theme of "Things I Love", I chose "US".  Meaning my husband and I.

I pulled out all of my fabulous Gauche goodies and set to work.

My layout is 12x12".  I cut the 11" circle out using my Cricut - the paper is G45.  I didn't have any photo paper so I simply used good quality white cardstock to print my 4"x6" photo of my husband and I on a weekend away recently in Maine with out kiddies.

The swirly cardstock is actually the front of a greeting card that I had from literally 15ish years ago.  Much to my darling husband's chagrin, I fortunately/unfortunately save EVERYTHING and eventually it all comes in handy!!

The rolled flowers are my GA focus today!!  All of the papers and fabric used to make the flowers are from GA.  (with the exception of the red flower on the bottom and the bluish one on the top right - those are cardstock I had lying around).  The papers from GA consist of sheet music and scraps of wallpaper.  The beautiful gold flowers are from the beautiful lace ribbon that came with my Gauche Acme Kit!  I rolled and stuck and rolled and stuck until I had a garden of Gauchy gorgeousness!!

I added a strip of silver Punchinella (sequin waste) to the left of my photo.  The tag directly behind the photo is also from my Acme kit.  I used the gorgeous blue acrylic paint that came with my kit to paint up a stamp and beautify the blank tag.  I coated the paint in thick embossing powder in order to quickly heat set everything.

I used the red, plastic netting that also came with my kit and ran it through my Big Shot.  I used my Cuttlebug dies, dandelion (tucked left of the rosettes) and daisy (top right of the photo) to pull out the maroonish color in my background circle.

The purple heart in the center is made out of Fimo.  My kids and I spent easily two hours yesterday playing with the fabulous molding clay!!  Pictures of that later to come!
My last tidbit is from a super cute boutique store just down the street from me.  I got these fairy labels around the holiday time (clearly intending to use them for crafting and not gifting! LOL!  - I'm such a hoarder!).  It says 'faith - invite miracles'.  Ain't that the truth?

I hope you've enjoyed all of the delicious goodies that I've used!!  I hope you've been inspired to create something eclectic and gorgeous today!
