Jedi Craft Kids: Challenge #1

Good Tuesday Evening!  I'm here with you again today to bring you my Daughter's first entry into a card challenge!!  I think I'm more excited than she is!!!  (hehehe) The first thing she asked me was "Mummy - can you help me?"  I said, "no" and went on to explain that it had to be just her creation. She said ok and went to work!

She watches what I do.  I have my Studio in our spare bedroom (yes, I know I'm lucky!) yet I've moved myself into our dining room so that I can hang out more with my darling husband.  So every early morning, (she and I are both early risers - 5 am or so), every day, and every evening - she watches what I do.  And she creates with me all day.  When she's at school she creates.  When she gets home...she creates.  It's wondrous to watch.

So when I saw that Tracy at Jedi Scrapbooking was having their first Kids Challenge and with the most adorable image, I had to ask my darling girl if she was interested in playing along.

I asked Kendall if she wanted to participate and she immediately said yes!

So...I printed the image out, she grabbed it off the printer, pulled out the markers and went to it.  Earlier in the day I was teaching her how to use my Big Shot with my new Tim Holtz embossing folders and Sizzix flower and cupcake dies (thank you Nicole!).  Once we had cut she then asked me if she could emboss what we had just cut!!  (she's 6 - I gotta say, I was impressed!)

She did everything on this card.  I supervised closely when she was using the Big Shot (obviously) but she took care of cutting, folding, coloring, laying out and even found her own embellishments by going through both her and my stash.
The card reads - in her fabulous invented spelling "Valentine Surprise - Love The Hearts".  The kid cracks me up.

I'm so proud of her creation and I am thrilled to show it off!!

Crafty Hugs!!
