Bombshell Sketch - July

A beautiful hello to you all today!!  What amazing summer weather we've been having here in New England!  SPECTACULAR...I tell you!!  I do hope that everyone had a safe, fun and restful holiday weekend for those of you who celebrate!  I have been busy working on Bombshell's July's amazing sketch challenge!!

With the Fourth of July holiday having just past, I was thinking about all of the amazing service men and women that risk their lives protecting us and our country...for that I thank you!!  These thoughts were my muse as you can see I was inspired by military greens and American flag reds.
I started out by stamping my Butterfly Queen Bombshell onto white cardstock.  I colored her with my Copics and trimmed her out.  I then stamped her wings onto SU! Old Olive cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I trimmed those out and set all of my cutouts aside.
As you can see I used many layers and added a gorgeous swirly rhinestone bling to my background.
I used my notebook edge punch, some embossed cardstock and the sentiment "Butterfly Dreams" from the Butterfly Dreams stamp set.
Before adhering my panels, I stitched the edges of each one with large straight stitching that I sort of free formed all along my layers.

I do hope you can come play with us over at the Bombshell Forum!!
