Cabaret Fairy Is In the DIS HOUSE!!!

Good Wednesday Morning everyone!!!

I am THRILLED to be here with you as I will be every Wednesday bringing you awesome creations using QKD's Dark Ink Sorority line of stamps!!! I will still be working with Maigan's gorgeous Mermaids as well so I'll be all over the QKD Castle!!! =)
Today I am featuring one of Che's gorgeous creations Cabaret Fairy! I colored her elaborately and then used Diamond Glaze on her wings. I have to tell you. I colored this a while ago as I've started doing and I have to tell you, it makes creating SO much faster!! Not that I don't thoroughly enjoy every step of the process but having your main image ready to go is key. I'm going to attempt to do this from now on.
So I really wanted something grungy yet sweet and romantic. I started with a Bazill basics cardstock base of Red Stiletto. I then used Junkitz Salsa Celebration paper as my blue layer and then Jenni Bowlin aged text paper as my last layer.
I heavily distressed all of my layers with a variety of tools. I used a LOVE bingo card that I picked up over the winter at The Paper Source. The blue felt flower is from MS.
I added Cabaret Fairy with 3-D foam and then tucked one of QKD's newest products Happy Stixx right behind her with the sentiment Love U.
As a last little touch I added 2 white Hambly rub-ons - the curly, ribbon flag at the bottom and the pointy finger on the Bingo card.

I hope you enjoy and are inspired!!! Please leave some love and come back and visit soon!!!

XOXO-
Meredith

I love the papers you used and the layering! Your coloring is divine, especially her wings and hair. Totally awesome! I color my images in advance as well...it saves so much time. Also, sometimes I'm in the mood to do one or the other, but not both...so it works best for me to color ahead of time. Great job, chica!

Wow, lady! This is fabulous! Love this little fairy and how you've composed your card! Everything about is gorgeous! I, too, like to color up my images before hand. Sometimes I'll sit and color 5 or 6 images at one time. I love it when I can take one of those images and blast through a card in no time ;D
