Tiddly Inks Challenge #22 - Sketch Layout

Greetings Everyone!!

I'm THRILLED to be back for another week of delicious Tiddly Inks challenges!!!

This week we've been given a great sketch to work with!  I've been SO into Halloween this year!  I've always enjoyed it but this year I've been particularly inspired.

I used the sketch to highlight three Tiddly Inks images.  I can no longer say "these are three of my favorite" TI images because quite honestly, there isn't one image that I don't like!!!  SERIOUSLY!!!  I love all of them!!!

So, with the sketch I used the following three images:

I started out with a square of Core Coordinations paper - black on the outside and purply-pink on the inside.  This square measures 8.75.  I heavily distressed the edges so that the internal color would show.  I then sliced a piece of SU! Only Orange down to 8.5 x 8.5 as my next layer.  I then started piecing together my papers for the sketch.

I used a misc. purple for my main rectangle on the left hand side as a matte for my skeleton paper. (love this paper!!)  I knew my Twisted Tree was going to go right there.

I wanted my Peek A Boo Bugg to be highlighted on the upper right hand side knowing that the sparkly web would be the icing on the proverbial cake down on the right hand side.  I like balance but not TOO much balance.  =)

I then set to coloring my images.  Everything is colored with my Copics and Prismacolor markers.  I also used my sparkly Sakura gel and Souffle pen to embellish our tiny witches hat.  I took my glue pen and covered the web and then sprinkled Doodlebug Glitter in black all over it.  I then set it aside to dry.

After everything was colored, I trimmed out the tree, trimmed the Boo Bugg a bit to fit the sketch and began layering and matting my images into place.  I kept the branches of my tree popped up a bit so that they had a bit of a 3-D effect to them.  My Boo Bug is matted on a medium pink/purple the reverse of which is the mat for the spider web.

I used glittery bat stickers as small embellishments on the tree and a solo one on the web.  For the two pieces on the left hand side I used metal edged tags that I heavily distressed with ink and my fingers and then added rhinestone pumpkin stickers along with a yellow and purple brad in each respective tag.

I added orange, sparkly spider web ribbon that I tied into a fluffy bow.  I then added a colored staple in each corner for embellishment as well as security - there are a lot of layers goin' on!  LOL!

I truly hope you enjoy my creation, the Design Team's samples are over the moon inspiring as are Christy's always amazing images!!!

Please come play along!!!!

Thanks for visiting!!!
