Kraftin' Kimmie #59 - A True DUDE's Challenge!

Hello All!!  I'm blogging from the great state of Maine while on a fabulous and restful vacation with my hubby, kids and dog!!

I was dying to participate in this challenge...all I had to do was ask my creative hubby to sit down and get creative with my supplies!!  Being on vacation makes time almost stand still and lets us do what we really want to do and not everything that we HAVE to do.  So creating together was super casual and very relaxing!

I gave my hubby his choice of KK stamps.  I don't own any of the "dude" stamps so he had all ladies to choose from!

He chose the gorgeous Babette!  I helped him stamp her in Momento ink in Tuxedo black.  I had not realized that I actually BROUGHT an acrylic block with me (I couldn't lay my hands on it at the time of stamping) so we improvised.  I inked the stamp up and laid it flat on the paper.  My hubby had the great idea to lay a small piece of 2x4 wood on top of it and press down.  It *mostly* worked.  We kept getting the majority of the image but not all of it really crisp.  So in an executive decision (mine) I cut her head out of one of the good images and added it - popped up on 3-D adhesive onto the body (and not so great stamped head) of another image.  I explained to my hubby how to color both the underneath image as well as the popped up image.

So he then set to coloring her with my Copic markers. (SO CUTE!)  He was very careful and diligent in his coloring.  Choosing colors and markers with a great look of concentration on his face.

He then trimmed her out and started choosing papers from a huge mat stack that I gave him.  I was very impressed with his color choices and selections of mixed papers.  I left him alone with the papers, stickers, etc and he put the entire card together by himself!!!  I love the geometric style that he went with as well as the "cheeky" sentiment ;)  and his positioning of the main image.

Thank you my honey for playing along!!!  It was such a fun and creative evening!!
I hope you all enjoy and are inspired!!
