Royal Court Crop Challenge!! Christmas!!

This particular challenge was given to us as simply....Christmas Greetings Challenge. Our assignment was to create a Christmas card using QKD Christmas stamps OR to turn a QKD into a Christmas stamp.

I accepted the little extra challenge and pulled out a non-traditional stamp and turned it into a Christmas stamp!!
I JUST got the Hello Honey stamp in the mail this week and I've been DYING to ink it up!!! QKD has FANTASTIC Christmas/Winter Images so DEFINITELY check out the store!!

In my mind this particular vintage image makes me think of a time when Hubby coming home from the office on Christmas Eve, grabbing his darling Wife giving her a big smooch as they get ready to celebrate the holiday season with their family!!

I have round ivory cards from the Paper Source so I started with that. I used my Cricut to cut a circle of PTI Pure Poppy paper as well as a circle of festive DP. I stitched them all together with black thread in a zig zag stitch.
I colored the image with my Copics and sparkly Sakura gel pens. I glittered up those FAB stacked heeled, platform, Mary Janes as well as those "Wing Tip" shoes that I imagine the DH wearing. His coat and hat are colored in the closest color to Burberry tan that I could match. I then matted this image on a slice of SU! last years holiday paper with the corners rounded. I added a white parenthesis on the right side for a tiny decorative touch and lastly printed out a sentiment on my computer "Home For The Holidays" and made it into a little decorative flag.

I'm thrilled at how this turned out.

Thanks for visiting!!!

XOXO
