Here is this month's sketch:
Retro Cowgirls set. And I LOVE her!! She is yee-haw sassy and super sexy!! I wanted to go with 'Autumn-ish" colors but still staying true to the cowgirl in her!! I colored her with my Copic and Prismacolor markers and very carefully trimmed her out.
I used my Cricut to capture 2 ovals. 5/1/2" and 5 1/4" respectively. I stitched them together using a bit of a simpler, yet similar cross-stitch style border on my sewing machine. I then mounted my cowgirl right in the center.
I used Basic Grey DP as the card base measuring at 6 x 5". My center panel behind where my ovals will sit is a strip of SU! Close To Cocoa and a misc strip (I think Fancy Pants - but don't quote me) of DP added to the cocoa with a fancier embroidery stitch on each side.
I added some chocolate brown, satin ribbon across the entire card and lastly 3 silver pearls for embellishments on the top left.
I used the sentiment Absolutely Fabulous from PTI, inked in Tim Holtz Broken China ink and I used the same ink to lightly edge distress the sentiment panel.
I added my main layer with 3-D adhesive as well as the sentiment panel with 3-D dots behind it.
I love how this turned out!!
I hope you enjoy and have been inspired!!
