QKD Royal Court Crop Weekend - INCHIES!?!?!?

Hey everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!! We're still in the middle of our Royal Court Crop Weekend!!! Vicki (aka The Queen) has issued so many amazing challenges to inspire and keep our awesome DT on our toes!!! This challenge was issued as follows:

"You must use inchies, twinchies or shorties on your project.

Inchie: 1"X1"
Twinchie: 2" X 2"
Shortie: 1.75" X 1.5"

Honestly...I had NO idea what these were!!! I had no idea how to do them or what so I have 2 attempts to show you on this post.
On my first attempt I stamped my images FIRST and THEN tried cutting them down to be 1x1. Um...ya...that didn't so much work!! I did the best I could and finished the card. I really like how it came out however, it looks more like a ransom note than an inchie card!! LOL!
Last night we had a Royal Court Chat and I asked the other DT gals how to do this and I realized that I needed to cut the inchies FIRST line them back up together and THEN stamp!! AH HA!! Now I understand. So I worked with the same color, paper and stamp scheme as the Randsom Note card. So this time I cut the 1" squares first, I then stamped PEACE from the Doodled Holiday Words set (IT'S A MUST!!! SO VERSATILE!)
I matted this fab new paper from American Crafts - Aplified - Doo Wop is the name. The purple card base is PTI, the silver paper is actually a slice of SU! Pomegrantate paper that I coated in Versamark Dazzle ink and then silver embossing powder which I've only busted out once or twice ever! But I love the sparkly effect!!

The word PEACE itself is colored in Copics, Prismacolor Markers and my Elmer's gold paint pen. I then matted them to SU! Tempting Turquoise squares, stitched around the perimeter of each one with a straight stitch using black thread and adhered them with foam squares to the silver paper. Before adhering this to the card base I tied a piece of Purely Pomegranate SU! double stitched ribbon around the base and tied on a truly vintatge (from Great-Grandmother's sewing kit) rhinestone button. I then used my "redliner" tape to adhered the final panel down since it was heavy from the heat embossing and the inchies.

I love this inchie thing!! I need to work on it but it's such a fun idea!!!

Thanks Vicki and the team for helping me learn something new!!!

And thanks for visiting!!

You simply MUST check out my fellow QKD DT Anita's, Lara's, Linda's, and Nina's , take on this challenge. Their creations are all simply GORGEOUS!!!

XOXO

This turned out great and DOES NOT look like a ransom note!
